Hi Everyone!

I am fairly new to livejournal and as you might imagine, all of these buttons take a while to get used to.  -- I'm managing so far.

         Mostly I just want to customize my journal as soon as I can. -- PLEASE -- I hate having the same journals -- ....boring layouts....identical structure...no design.... -- on my layout but I'm having some trouble actually understanding how the livejournal system works.  I read through the style systems and everything and basically I need a "Livejournal for Dummies" kind of summary on website editing techniques.  I am quite familiar with <3<3  HTML <3<3 (it's a life saver sometimes) as I've made websites before but I have no idea how to put these things to use on livejournal -- I have tons of cool layouts thought out already ;) and I just want to know if they're possible on LJ.  Sooo, I was wondering if anybody could help direct me to a website that gives an easy summary for webediting techniques and how to maneuver around and through the LJ system!

So really...as soon as I can get my LJ redone, and be satisfied with it not looking like a piece of crap, I can go on to what I really want to do on LJ...(post, read, research, download, upload, JPOP! Woohoo...I'm getting pumped - etc.)
